There are many questions for which I would love to get an answer. Some of them had already been mentioned elsewhere on this
site.
• From where comes the name, are there any
other family names which are related to ours, where do the Stoerkels come from?
• Are there earlier citations of the
name?
• Which documents in the federal
archive of Hesse could provide hints regarding Stoerkel/Erbstadt before 1600?
• Is there a connection Erbstadt –
Neu-Anspach/Usingen? In which manner was the original name spelled there?
• Where in our village used to have
the earliest Stoerkels their property?
• The frequency of the first name
Johannes is a real challenge:
• Is my family tree corrent in the context
of the very early „Johannes“ and „Johann Wilhelms“?
• Is my family tree correct in the
context of the many "Johannes" of the 18th century?
• From where came Michael Stoerkel,
the father of the wife of the initial „Wirtspeter“?
• Is there any information about the
sisters of Daniel Stoerkel who emigrated together with him (or even before) in 1837: Katharina (Catherine), Anna Margaretha, Dorothea Elisabetha and Maria (married as Mary Bird in
Cincinnati)?
• In the years between 1930 and late 1940s several letters have been exchanged between Grete Störkel and two ladies from the USA. Who knows Mrs. Hubner from
Hamilton, Ohio and Mrs. Hornung from Brookville, Indiana?
• Has anyone contact to descendants of
other emigrants: Konrad Stoerkel (married to Elisabetha Kriegsmann, emigration about 1850), Wilhelm Stoerkel (*1810, emigration 1838), Johannes Stoerkel (*?, emigration 1838)?
• There is a Georg Rudolf Stoerkel,
married to Katharina Luise Reinemann and father of, at least, three children: Katharina (*1906), Lina (*1910) and Georg Franz (*1912). I can´t assign this Georg Rudolf to anyone else as I have
not found his baptism in the church books.
• Which
connections exist to Heldenbergen where our family name is already mentioned in the 15th and 16th century?
• Is there a connection to the Stoerkels from the Alsace region?
